Veteran volunteer firefighter now chief (The Argus Leader)
A 16-year member of the Brandon Volunteer Fire Department is now its chief. Tony Kuck was elected by his firefighting peers to the leadership position late last month, succeeding Greg Lacey, who held the job for the past year. Kuck, 47, has no defined agenda coming into the position.
Domestic violence charity gets grant (Asbury Park Press)
BRICK: Dottie's House, a township charity that provides transitional housing for victims of domestic violence and their children, recently was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Township Council, and it raised $16,000 through its first triathlon and duathlon.
